Let us know how we can help.

Decentralized Identify with Verifiable Credentials

We have been working with, and contributing to the Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger Indy and Aries projects since 2017. In that work, we’ve dug deeply into self-sovereign identity (SSI), decentralized identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials (VCs) and the blockchain foundation that will drive the next major wave of Internet innovation.

Deploying Aries-based Solutions

We literally wrote the book course on Hyperledger Aries, helping thousands become Aries developers. We can provide consulting, training, design and DevOps deployment guidance for your Aries issuer, verifier and wallet solutions.

We are also maintainers of the open-source project Aries Cloud Agent Python, so we know a bit about that too!

Consulting, Training and Technical Writing

We offer consulting, training and technical writing for identity using blockchain solutions and DevOps. In both domains, we anchor our services around two courses for getting started:

  • Getting Started in SSI: A half- to one-day course, taught at a business level.
  • Aries Developer Deep Dive: A one- to two-day course, taught at a more technical level with lots of hands-on labs and demos.

About Us

Cloud Compass Computing has been implementing end-to-end value stream optimizations, integrating Development and Operations (DevOps) teams, and creating continuous improvement cultures for more than 15 years.

We have been contributing to the Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger Indy and Aries projects since 2017. In that work, we’ve dug deeply into self-sovereign identity (SSI), decentralized identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials (VCs) and the blockchain technologies that will drive the next major wave of Internet innovation.

Our Journey

Our journey began with DevOps and while that remains core, we're now all about self-sovereign identity using verifiable credentials.

  • DevOps

    2001-2016

    DevOps before DevOps

Lots of products created in several organizations with a common theme – use Agile and DevOps techniques to deliver better, faster. CI/CD pipelines, fast, daily deploys and later, embracing containers and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes and OpenShift).

  • Hyperledger Indy logo

    2017-2018

Diving into all things self-sovereign identity (SSI) using Hyperledger Indy

Working with the Government of BC, learning about, building and deploying verifiable credentials solutions using Hyperledger Indy. It was a big learning curve, and we did it with a focus deploying real solutions and leaving behind lots of artifacts to save others from learning it from scratch. From that came TheOrgBook (now OrgBook BC), our first scaled, production SSI application.

  • Hyperledger Aries logo

    2019-2020

Full SSI applications with Hyperledger Aries and Aries Cloud Agent Python

We were core contributors in defining the core Aries protocols that make up Aries Interop Profiles 1.0. As well, we worked with the BC Gov team in creating and building many (many!) SSI applications on top of Aries Cloud Agent Python. In 2020, we also launched our first course on edX for the Linux Foundation – a business-focused course on SSI with Indy and Aries.

  • 2021-Present

    Verifiable credentials, all the time

Our journey continues, as we iteratively learn and contribute to the open source SSI world. We’re helping at the Sovrin Foundation, building the world’s most stable distributed ledger for identity. We’ve got two courses on the go at edX with the Linux Foundation. And we continue to work with BC Gov as it collaborates globally on tools, standards, code, knowledge and the deployment of advanced digital identity solutions.
